Jaye Nasir is a poetry and fiction writer who blurs or outright ignores the lines between the real and the unreal, between nature and humanity, and between the self and others. Her work has been supported by the McCormack Writing Center, Sitka Center for Arts and Ecology, Hedgebrook and the Atticus Hotel. Her poem "Palestine is a Place" won the 2024 Sundress Publications Broadside Contest and was a runner-up for the 2024 Rhonda Gail Williford award. She lives in Portland, OR where she works as a Portland Community College writing tutor and service industry lifer. Despite what you may be led to believe by her writing, she is actually very fun at parties. |
